ABOUT FRIENDS GROW PHILLY FOUNDATION

Rooted in community. Growing a legacy. Building for the future.

Friends Growing Philly Foundation, Inc. is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to strengthening communities through urban agriculture, food and plant access, youth development, environmental stewardship, volunteer service, and neighborhood improvement.

Although the Foundation is a new nonprofit organization, the roots of our work reach back nearly four decades through Marshall Street Garden, a North Philadelphia community growing space established around 1987. Today, FGP is building on that legacy by bringing people, resources, partnerships, and new opportunities together to serve Philadelphia communities.

We believe stronger neighborhoods grow when people invest in plants, people, places, and possibilities.
