FGP's work is anchored by Marshall Street Garden, a North Philadelphia community growing space with roots dating to approximately 1987. Building on that longstanding community legacy, the Foundation is developing programs that expand plant access, create opportunities for young people, strengthen environmental stewardship, and support neighborhood improvement.

To strengthen Philadelphia communities by investing in plants, people, places, and possibilities through urban agriculture, education, service, environmental stewardship, and community partnerships.

Our Vision

We envision Philadelphia neighborhoods where residents have greater access to healthy food and plants, young people have opportunities to learn and grow, community green spaces are protected and strengthened, and neighbors have the resources and partnerships needed to build healthier, greener communities.
